Openfilm Plugin

All videos are sourced from Openfilm ». This is a very cool library of award winning shorts, shows and clips from video visionaries and film students. Openfilm » claims the highest quality video on the web, so of course, all items are in HD. This content is also available on Tivo and Boxee.

The plugin will only grab the top 20 videos in each category, and there are lots of paths to explore.

You are performing a search on Openfilm » as you navigate through the menus. The starting point is the 'sort by' folder. The next folder is a 'category' choice to narrow your search. You need one category to begin to get results.

To get all 1-5 min videos from the site (follow this path)...

sort by All > [1-5 min] Short > category All

Top rated 'Action' videos over 20 min...

sort by Top Rated > category Action > duration Action > [over 20 min] Long

...Only animated 'Comedy' videos...

sort by Filter > Animation > category Comedy

The deeper you navigate through the subfolders, the more specific your result will be. You will always get a result after you have passed through any 'category' subfolder.

Most videos fall into multiple categories, so they will show up in different category paths. A video could be Top Rated and an Editor's Pick and Animated and Comedy and Film Festival. You get the picture.

Stop the PlayOn server and close the Settings Manager if open.

To install the plugin, simply place the ".plugin" file into "..\Program Files\MediaMall\plugins", ("..\Program Files (x86)\MediaMall\plugins\" in 64-bit versions).

Restart the server.
